iTunes

iTunes has come a long ways since it was first released. It is one of the most complete multimedia players in the market and is indispensable for iPod and iPhone owners. With iTunes, users can play almost all the formats available nowadays and the graphical user interaface is very simple. Indeed, iTunes can be easily setup to serve as the main hub for all your multimedia needs.

Bonjour

Bonjour, also known as zero-configuration networking, enables automatic discovery of computers, devices, and services on IP networks. Bonjour uses industry standard IP protocols to allow devices to automatically discover each other without the need to enter IP addresses or configure DNS servers.

Safari

Safari is an easy-to-use web browser by Apple. With its simple and elegant user interface, Safari allows you to surf the web in the fastest way ever known in a browser. The only disadvantage I found is that Safari lacks any advanced security settings. You can block third-party cookies and some Web scripts, but you can't enter specific Web sites from which to accept or reject cookies.

iPod Reset Utility

The iPod Reset Utility is an application that will restore your iPod. This application is really a last resort when everything else has failed and you can't get your iPod to work. On the official website, there are only two models supported by this application, but I am sure that there have to be applications for other models.
